Oh shit: Darby Allin vs Kazuchika Okada dream match confirmed for next Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite

Woah.  I didn’t see this coming.  Like, this is legitimately a never-seen-before dream-match-up.  And it’s airing on free TV next Wednesday.  I regard Okada’s first singles match against Kenny Omega (04/01/20217) as the 2nd best wrestling match I have ever seen, and I think it is safe to say that Darby is one of the most exciting pro-wrestlers ever.  I mentioned recently that I think that Darby is one of the top-20 pro-wrestlers ever, and I think Okada might be one of the top-10 pro-wrestlers ever.

I can’t help but think that AEW might be making a mistake by not having the first match between these two on pay-per-view, but I’m not going to complain too much, because why bite the hand that feeds.

I’ve read that Darby Allin will be facing Pac 5 days after facing Okada, which, by my estimation, will mean Darby is wrestling like 5 matches in the space of 5 weeks, all of which are World title matches, so I’m very confused as to why Darby has such a hectic schedule recently, and it certainly doesn’t bode well for the quality of this dream match vs Okada, but I guess it is what it is.
