I remember, when, back in January of this year, in the few days leading up to the WWE Royal Rumble 2026 PLE – which took place in Saudi Arabia – Kairi was photographed wearing a Japanese robe, whilst in Saudi. The robe looks lovely and everything, and, obviously, Kairi always looks like a million dollars, but I found it interesting how Kairi wasn’t wearing a traditionally Saudi garment instead. Because, over years, when WWF/WWE would tour overseas, if anything, the wrestlers would wear the clothing of the country they were in. For example, iirc, Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan wore traditional Indian outfits when doing an in-character segment on WWE programming whilst in India, circa 2025.
So, since I saw this photo back in January, I’ve thought that Kairi might have been trying to send people a message by wearing that robe. It’s as though Kairi was saying ‘I’m not down with Saudi clothing, and I don’t like it here……I’m a proud Japanese: here’s some Japanese flavor, motherf***ers!’.
I haven’t heard/read of anyone else share this thought of mine, or even comment on this photo, for that matter, so I’m probably the only person in the world who thinks this. And, admittedly, I’m probably completely wrong about all of this, but whatever.
