Darby just beat MJF for the AEW World Championship. I don’t want to sound like I am sucking up to Darby Allin, but, despite him being only 33 years of age, I think he is already one of the top-15 pro-wrestlers of all time, and, let’s be honest, he is the new Mick Foley, and has been for the past 10 years or so, crazy bumps and all. Darby is very, very deserving of this AEW World Title win, so I think that this is a beautiful moment for pro-wrestling. In the post-match celebrations, Darby humbly refused to lift the belt above his head to celebrate.
